The best way to ensure the move to your new house will go as smoothly and painlessly as possible is to plan well in advance, and to make sure that you're thoroughly organised, knowing exactly what you have to do and when you have to do it.

To help you out, we've put together a number of checklists, detailing what you have to do in the weeks leading up to your move. These checklists relate simply to the task of moving you and your possessions from one home to another - they don't include the other activities involved in the buying or selling process.
