Draughting Technician

Draughting Technician

A technician who puts plans on to paper, often using computer-aided design. Before you enlist any other professional help, consider commissioning a scale plan of your home in its current format, showing its orientation and its position on the site. Then, with tracing paper, a scale rule, and a pencil and rubber, you can experiment with alterations, such as removing a wall to enlarge a kitchen. Ideas generated at this stage make a good basis for an initial consultation with an architect or building surveyor.

What Does it Cost?

To employ a drafting technician to measure up and prepare plans may cost up to £300.
