Island Dream

Description

The main house and guesthouse are built into a rock saddle behind the nose of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona. Both structures use the exposed rock of the mountain as some of the interior walls.

The main home was built around a magnificent 50-tonne boulder, which forms the main feature that dominates the living room and entrance hall to the house. The house has two bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fitted gourmet kitchen, library and viewing deck.

The pool and spa is filled in part by a 15-foot waterfall pouring directly off of the mountain. A second waterfall is built into a boulder alongside the driveway.
