Weissberg Residence

Description

This single-family residence is split into two components. One incorporates the mechanical, storage, food preparation, dining, office, and guestroom. The other is dedicated to the clients sleeping and bathing quarters. The collision of the two creates a third zone; this interstitial space is used as the formal living area with the hearth traditionally set at its core. Sectional partitions become an integral device separating and adjoining crucial formal spaces for descriptive events.

In an area steeped in traditional styles this single-family residence introduces a modern vocabulary that both questions and learns from the diverse context surrounding it.
