Tiling Preparation

Before you start tiling, you'll need to make sure that you have all the right materials and equipment to tackle the job, such as grout, sealant - and of course tiles! You'll then need to ensure that the wall or floor's surface is dry and reasonably smooth, although minor cracks and bumps will be covered by the adhesive. If there are traces of damp on a wall or floor, the cause must be identified and remedied before you start to tile.
