Laying Vinyl Floor Tiles

Vinyl floor-tiles are the simplest form of floor covering to lay. As they are flexible and relatively thin, it's important to spend time preparing the floor, making sure it is smooth and flat. Covering floorboards with hardboard is often essential to avoid ridges wearing through the tiles.

When you set out the tiles, it's a good idea to loose-lay the first rows to check that the edges are parallel with the walls.
